Our boat tours depart from the beautiful Flaxmill Bay, located in the stunning Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand. Both Jump On Trips and Private Charters depart from Flaxmill Bay. Flaxmill Bay is a very small, sheltered bay situated between Cooks Beach and Ferry Landing.

Meet us in the middle of the beach at Flaxmill Bay (left of the Public toilets).

Directly opposite 1037 Purangi Rd, Cooks Beach, Waikato, 3510 New Zealand.

You will see the catamaran anchored in the bay. One of our crew will be waiting at the waters edge beside the inflatable boat we use to transfer our guests to and fro the yacht in.

It takes about 45 minutes to drive from Whitianga, or approx 2.5 hours from Auckland. Follow signs to Cooks Beach and Ferry landing. Approximately 1km after Cooks Beach you will arrive at Flaxmill Bay. If you reach Ferry Landing, you have gone too far. Please note, parking is limited.

During summer parking is at a premium, so give yourself plenty of time to find a park. There is parking at Flaxmill Bay beach, down Homestead Lane and at Ferry Landing (5 min walk). Another good parking spot is near the ford (see image below).

If you are coming from Whitianga you can also catch the passenger ferry from Whitianga Wharf across to Ferry Landing. The ferry operates continuously, and tickets can be purchased on the boat. A return ticket will cost adults $7 and children $5. The ferry ride itself takes about 2 minutes, but leave yourself plenty of time to get across. From Ferry Landing it is a leisurely 15-20 minute walk to Flaxmill Bay. If you arrive early, stop in at the Eggcentric cafe for a coffee or ice-cream.
